TheHouseStay may collect information you provide when you register or use the platform, such as name, email, phone number, account role, property information, enquiries and technical information needed for security and operation.

Why we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts, publish host listings, enable direct host–guest contact, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, maintain records of consent and comply with applicable law.

Direct sharing

Because TheHouseStay is designed as a direct-contact platform, information you choose to publish in a listing or share with another user may be visible to that user. Think carefully before sharing sensitive information.

Retention and withdrawal

Subject to applicable law and legitimate operational requirements, you may request access, correction or deletion of personal information and may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable legal basis. Withdrawal may affect your ability to use features that require the information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the service, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services

The initial version may load fonts or images from third-party services. These services may process technical information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Legal compliance

This notice is intended to operate with applicable Indian data-protection and privacy requirements. It should be reviewed and finalised by the platform's legal/privacy adviser before public launch.

Important: The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires consent, where relied upon, to be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous with clear affirmative action; privacy implementation should therefore be aligned with the final legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the platform.
